Round Top is a small, charming Texas town of just over 87 people. Known for our biannual Antiques & Design Show where tens of thousands of shoppers descend, a remarkable number of small boutique hotels and properties have opened over the past decade. We now like to advertise that ‘We’re open 365 days a year’ with tons to do year-round.
Located halfway between major metropolises, Houston and Austin, it is super convenient and an easy (and beautiful) drive. If you’re flying in, most major rental car and ride-sharing companies are available at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Houston Hobby Airport.
There are 13 lodging properties, totaling around 100 rooms; room configurations vary. Although we encourage you to stay in town, there are also Airbnb properties and lodging in nearby towns such as Brenham, Burton and La Grange.
We don’t have a convention center or a big hotel ballroom. But we do have extraordinary and out of the box venues that are perfect for your event. Unique spaces abound in Round Top, from rustic barns and wide-open spaces to boutique hotels, state-of-the-art pool houses and even a historic depot turned dancehall. You can even take over the entire town.
Designers and dealers from around the world come here for some of the best antiques shopping and thrill of the hunt finds. But it doesn’t stop there. Live music, off the beaten path wineries, amazing dining options and eclectic drinkeries is all wrapped up in Sothern hospitality.
